Scones(without the jam) 司康

Cake flour 1 1/2 cup
Baking powder 2tbsp

Unsalted butter 5tbsp 

Sugar 2tbsp
A little salt

A medium egg
Milk 1/3 cup 


1 Put all the ingredient in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes
2 Heat the oven to 390F(200C) 

3 Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt, and then rub in the butter

4Mix the egg and the milk in a small bowl, and put into the flour mixture. Use your fingers to mix them until it’s moistened and held together

5Put the soft dough in fridge about an hour until it becomes harder

6Take out the dough. Dredge the dough and your hands with some flour and then fold the dough over 2 or 3 times until it’s a little smoother.

7 Pat the dough into a round about an inch deep

8 Use a cutter to stamp out 7 or 8 rounds and then place them on your baking tray

9 Brush the tops of scones with beaten eggs or milk

10 Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until well risen and golden
